2020 Waller FFA Ag Show Recovery Online Add On Event

As you know due to the threat and safety concerns for our exhibitors, families, and bidders resulting from Coronavirus Covid-19, the 2020 Waller FFA Ag Show was cancelled in the name of public health and wellness. This was not a decision that was taken lightly as we know how hard the young men and women of Waller FFA worked to raise and care for their projects, some of which lasted over a one-year period.

Our immediate concern is working with these exhibitors and their families to try to recover some of the cost of the projects, while there is no perfect answer in response to this unprecedented circumstance there are two things we will be doing to help.

First, we will be conducting an “Add On” Auction Event to be hosted by Coleman & Patterson Auctioneers via this platform. As you will see, each exhibitor will have a brief bio and photos to tell you a little about themselves and their 2020 projects. In lieu of a Premium Auction, we will be accepted Add Ons for each exhibitor for a 1-week period beginning Friday, March 27th and extending thru Friday, March 28th. All you need to do is download the Waller FFA Add On Sheet found in the Auction, peruse the students bios and place their lot number, name, and add on amount of the form provided and mail or fax it in to Waller FFA. Please note, we are not selling the project, just inviting you to Add On to exhibitors exactly like you have done in the past following the Premium Auction.

Secondly, we also have students that are trying to sell their animals with a commitment form. We know it’s a hard time for everybody right now, but if you are interested in buying an animal please email Ralph Stokley at rstokley@wallerisd.net and we will get you in touch with one of the students trying to sell their animal.

Special Notes:
 

  • This is a premium sale so the buyer will not receive the project
  • Add-ons will be handled via an Add-On form with the add-on person sending the check and form to Waller FFA Attn: Ralph Stokley, Address:

Brazos County Youth Livestock Association (BCYLA) Recovery Premium Sale Online Auction

 

Due to the threat of Coronavirus-COVID-19the BCYLAexecutive committee made the responsible decision to cancel the 2020 Brazos County Youth Livestock Show (BCYLS) in its entirety. We believe that we should adhere to the CDC recommendations of no social gathering larger than 10 people to help contain the spread of COVID-19. This was not a decision that came lightly to the BCYLAboard, but the health and safety of our exhibitors and local community are our highest priorities during this unprecedented time. 

 

Our immediate action to help our BCYLSexhibitors is to initiate an online recovery premium Auction. This will be a premium sale and the buyers will be bidding on the exhibitor and not the animal, ag mechanics, or FCS project. This premium sale will help exhibitors recoup some funds for their hard work and dedication of raising a livestock project, building an ag mechanics project, or making a FCS project. 

 

Thank you for your generosity and understanding during these trying times. Our goal with this event is to recover what we can for the exemplary agriculture youth of Brazos County so that we can encourage and help them achieve their goals of continuing their education in agriculture or helping them purchase their projects for next years show!

 

Important Dates/ Info:

Bidding will be active Beginning Saturday, March 28that 8 AM and Hard Stop on Monday, March 30th; 8 PM. There will be no countdown/extended bidding for this Auction. Should you not win the bid on any desired exhibitor, we encourage you to download the Add-On form and add to the exhibitors total. Add Ons will be accepted thru May 1st, 2020.

 

**The Silver Spurs Buyers Group has set the starting bid on each lot in the sale so all exhibitors are guaranteed the starting bid. Thanks to the Silver Spurs Buyers Group, the starting bids are: $500 for steers; $200 for barrows, lambs, and goats; $100 for rabbits, broilers, and turkeys; $40 for breeding heifers; and $20 for Ag Mech/FCS.
